St. Joseph

Jesus: “St. Joseph was a man of great faith and the earthly guardian of both Me and My mother, Mary. He was from the lineage of David, a carpenter by trade, which speaks to his humility and hard work. His unwavering obedience to God’s direction, despite the challenges he faced, showcases his profound trust in the Lord. ‘Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife.’ (Matthew 1:24). This verse exemplifies his immediate response to God’s guidance, taking action without hesitation.”

John: “Master, what role did Joseph play in your early life?”

Jesus: “Joseph provided for Mary and Me, offering protection, sustenance, and a home. His role as a father figure was instrumental in My upbringing, teaching Me both the skills of carpentry and the values of righteousness, obedience, and faith in God.”

Peter: “Lord, how is Joseph a model for us?”

Jesus: “Peter, Joseph exemplifies the virtues of righteousness, obedience, and silent strength. He was a man who listened to God and acted on His commands, even when they led him into uncertain and difficult situations. His life is a testament to trusting God’s plan, regardless of how unclear or challenging it may seem.”

Andrew: “How should we emulate Joseph in our own lives?”

Jesus: “Like Joseph, you should cultivate an unwavering faith and trust in God. Let his example encourage you to listen closely for God’s guidance in your life and to obey with courage and faith. Embrace humility, work diligently in your given tasks, and protect and provide for those entrusted to your care.”

Thomas: “Did Joseph understand the full scope of your mission on earth, Master?”

Jesus: “Thomas, Joseph knew I was entrusted to him by God and that My purpose was divine. Though he may not have grasped the entirety of My mission, his faith allowed him to trust in God’s plan for Me, for him, and for our family. His role was pivotal, setting the stage for My earthly ministry.”

Matthew: “Is there a particular lesson we can learn from Joseph’s silence in the Scriptures?”

Jesus: “Joseph’s silence in the Scriptures speaks volumes about his character. It teaches the value of action over words, of living out one’s faith through deeds. In a world filled with noise, Joseph’s life reminds you to listen closely to God and to let your actions testify to your faith.”

Simon the Zealot: “How can we honor Joseph today, Lord?”

Jesus: “Honor Joseph by living a life of integrity, humility, and devotion. Support and care for your families, commit to your work with dedication, and always remain open and obedient to God’s will. Let Joseph’s example inspire you to be righteous guardians of those God has placed in your life.”
