Signs of the Second Coming

Jesus: “Let us gather and reflect upon the signs of the times, as the scriptures speak of events that will herald my return. Understanding these signs will prepare your hearts and strengthen your faith as you await the fulfillment of God’s promise.”

Peter: “Lord, what are the first signs that we should look for?”

Jesus: “Peter, be vigilant for the rise of false prophets. Many will come in my name, claiming, ‘I am Christ,’ and will deceive many. This is the first test of discernment for my followers.”

John: “Will there be signs in the world itself, Master?”

Jesus: “Yes, John. There will be wars and rumors of wars. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. These are the beginnings of sorrows but are not yet the end.”

Andrew: “What about natural events? Will the earth itself give us signs?”

Jesus: “Andrew, there will indeed be natural calamities. Earthquakes in diverse places, famines, and pestilences will occur. These are like birth pains, increasing in intensity as the time approaches.”

James, son of Zebedee: “Master, how should we respond to these events?”

Jesus: “James, let not your heart be troubled. These things must come to pass, but the end is not immediately upon us. Instead, see these as opportunities to witness, for the gospel of the kingdom must be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations.”

Philip: “Will everyone understand these signs, or will they be hidden from some?”

Jesus: “Philip, to those watching and waiting, these signs are clear. But to the world, they will seem like mere troubles and chaos. It is for you, my disciples, to interpret these signs and guide others in understanding.”

Bartholomew: “Is there a specific event that signifies that your return is very near?”

Jesus: “Bartholomew, when you see the ‘abomination of desolation,’ spoken of by Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place, then know that the time is near. Let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”

Matthew: “Will the faithful suffer during these times, Lord?”

Jesus: “Matthew, there will be a time of great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. But for the elect’s sake, those days shall be shortened. Stay steadfast in your faith.”

Thomas: “How can we prepare ourselves and others for these difficult times?”

Jesus: “Thomas, remain in prayer, and maintain your faith. Educate others about these signs and keep your fellowship strong. You will need one another’s support and encouragement to endure.”

James, son of Alphaeus: “Will the whole world see your return, Lord?”

Jesus: “Yes, James, my return will be unmistakable. As lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be my coming. Every eye will see, and every heart will know.”

Thaddaeus: “What should be our message to those who are fearful of these signs?”

Jesus: “Thaddaeus, tell them of my love and my promise of salvation. Encourage them to turn their hearts to me. The signs are not to incite fear but to prepare the world for my righteous reign.”

Simon the Zealot: “Is there a role for us, in fighting the injustices that rise as these signs unfold?”

Jesus: “Simon, your role is to be peacemakers and bearers of my truth. Fight injustice by spreading the gospel and practicing love, as I have taught you. Your strength lies in your faith, not in swords.”

Judas Iscariot: “How long will we need to wait for your return, Master?”

Jesus: “Judas, it is not for you to know the times or the seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. Be prepared at all times, living as though the kingdom is upon you, for in such an hour as you think not, the Son of man cometh.”
