Peter: “Master, in these times of great inequality, should wealth be redistributed to ensure fairness?”
Jesus: “Peter, remember the words I spoke: ‘The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me.’ It is not merely a matter of redistributing wealth, but of how one’s heart approaches their possessions.”
John: “So, it’s about the attitude we have towards our wealth and how we use it?”
Jesus: “Indeed, John. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. It is not the amount of wealth one has, but how they use it to show love and compassion.”
Matthew: “As a tax collector, I’ve seen great wealth. Are we to give away all we have, Lord?”
Jesus: “If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.”
Peter: “But Lord, is this a call for all to give away everything?”
Jesus: “Each must decide in their own heart how to give. Not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. The measure of a man is not in his wealth, but in his love and generosity towards others.”
Andrew: “So, it’s a personal journey of faith and love, extending beyond mere wealth.”
Jesus: “Precisely, Andrew. Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
