Does God forgive everyone?

Jesus: “Verily, I say unto thee, God’s forgiveness is like the sun that shineth upon both the just and the unjust. It is boundless and available to all, but one must seek it with a humble and repentant heart.”

Peter: “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

Jesus: “I tell thee not just seven times, but, verily, seventy times seven. For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.”

John: “Master, what if they continue to sin against us, even after we forgive them?”

Jesus: “Remember, John, it is not the frequency of transgression but the heart’s disposition toward repentance and forgiveness. God looketh at the heart and is gracious to those who earnestly seek Him.”

Thomas: “But Lord, how can we know that God truly forgives us?”

Jesus: “Thomas, ye know by the peace that cometh after true repentance, and by the transformation in your heart. The scriptures say, ‘If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.’ Have faith in God’s promise.”
